This update consists of kernel security patches and improvements that

All of the RPM files and installation scripts will be extracted into

This Web-only update to Sun Linux 5.0 includes a new kernel version
with security, bug fixes and enhancement patches, and kernel
prerequisite modules. Security and bug fix patches are primarily
based on Redhat Security Advisory (RHSA) and Redhat Bug Advisory (RHBA)
notices. The Sun Linux 5.0.3 Update 1 (see below) should be installed
before installing this update.

This Web-only update to Sun Linux 5.0
includes a new BMC (Baseboard Management Controller) and the
individual patches released to date including security patches, known
bugs and other issues. Security patches are primarily based on Redhat
Security Announcement (RHSA) notices.

following command: tar -xjvf Sun_Linux_5.0.3_update1.tar.bz2

particular, note the warning on the new service partition, which also
includes a new BIOS. If you have used the existing service partition
to store data, you should back up that data prior to applying the
update; the new service partition will overwrite it.
