Solaris 10 x86 patch 119076-01 may cause a system panic when using "DTrace pid provider" during TCP/IP activity.

Patches 118959-01, 118996-01, 118960-01, and 119043-01 have also been WITHDRAWN and may cause other unpredictable behavior.

Note: The above mentioned patches are no longer available on Sunsolve.

This issue can occur in the following release:

SPARC Platform

• Solaris 10 with patch 118959-01 and without patch 118959-02
• Solaris 10 with patch 118996-01 and without patch 118996-02

x86 Platform

• Solaris 10 with patch 119076-01 and without patch 119076-02
• Solaris 10 with patch 118960-01 and without patch 118960-02
• Solaris 10 with patch 119043-01 and without patch 119043-02

Note: Solaris 7, Solaris 8, and Solaris 9 are not affected by this issue.

If the described issue occurs, the system will Panic.

To work around the described issue, remove the following patches from the system:

• 119076-01
• 118959-01
• 118996-01
• 118960-01
• 119043-01

This issue is addressed in the following releases:

SPARC Platform

• Solaris 10 with patch 118959-02 or later
• Solaris 10 with patch 118996-02 or later

x86 Platform

• Solaris 10 with patch 119076-02 or later
• Solaris 10 with patch 118960-02 or later
• Solaris 10 with patch 119043-02 or later
