Patch 118051-03 WITHDRAWN Due to Transgression Errors

Impact

On Sun Fire 12K/15K/20K/25K systems running System Management Software (SMS) 1.4.1 with patch 118051-03 installed, a transgression error can occur causing the domain to crash.

Note: Patch 118051-03 has been WITHDRAWN from SunSolve and is no longer available.

Contributing Factors

This issue can occur in the following releases:

SPARC Platform

• SMS 1.4.1 with patch 118051-03 and without patch 118051-04

on the following platform:

• Sun Fire 12K/15K/20K/25K

Note: The described issue occurs during a DR operation when two power off events occur on a domain that shares an expander.

Symptoms

Should the described issue occur, messages similar to the following will be recorded in the "Dstop" dump file:

    All master SDIs in this dump indicating valid error info [00400]
            indicate the first error was Dstop for all of EXB EX10.
    SDI EX10/S0: All SDI is DStopped and RStopped,         requested by DARB.
    DARB C0: enabled ports (expanders)          [17:0]: 03FF7
    DARB C0: other darb req Dstop+Rstop for exps[17:0]: 00400
    DARB C0 Port 10 InterAsicStatus[31:0] = B02C0000
            IAStat[18,28]: AMX A0 requests Dstop+Rstop for this exp
            IAStat[19,29]: AMX A1 requests Dstop+Rstop for this exp
    AMX  C0/A0 (0.0)  Port 10 Status[1][21:0],[0][31:0] = 03F8FD CC080C08
            P10Stat0[19]: D 1E Detected transgression error in request from AXQ
    FAIL EXB EX10 with Addr Bus C0:  Dstop/Rstop detected by AMX.
    Primary service FRU is EXB EX10.
    Secondary service FRU is CSB C0 or the logic centerplane.
