Symptoms

Sun Fire X4450 boots hang after upgrade to BIOS 3B12

A small number of Sun Fire X4450s have missing Product Part Number in the FRU 
data. If the BIOS is upgraded to 3B12, the system will hang during boot due to 
bug 6669656. This has resulted in unneeded replacement of systemboards.

Resolution

Use BIOS 3B16

Tools & Driver, CD1.1.a has been pulled from the download site due to this problem.  CD 1.1.c/ has replaced it & can be found at URL:
  http://www.sun.com/servers/x64/x4450/downloads.jsp

The Product Part Number can be can be found on the ELOM GUI interface.  The 
System Information - Versions - Server Board Information tab contains this data.
