V440 Memory:

1. DIMM sizes supported are 512MB, 1GB & 2GB (note: 256MB DIMM's are NOT supported in V440)
2. System Min/Max Memory is 1 GB/32 GB
3. 72 data bits per memory DIMM; 2 DIMM's (144 bits) min per group. (note: DIMM's MUST be installed/removed in PAIRS; the FRU is the PAIR).
4. Nominal speed operates up to 133MHz frequency, providing 266MHz DDR-1 (PC2100) support.
5. Supports Industry Standard 1.2" high 184-pin DDR-1 SDRAM Registered ECC DIMM's (Note: Per the DDR Memory Big Rules, only Sun tested and approved DIMM's are officially supported by Sun).
6. Total of 4 DIMM slots per CPU/Memory Module; 16 slots per system with 4 CPU/Memory Modules.
7. Each module DIMM slots are arranged in 2 physical groups of 2 DIMM's.
8. Each DIMM group (pair) provides 1 or 2 external logical banks

Please note that the Sun Fire 440 server only needs one pair of DIMM to boot and that there should never
be an uneven number of DIMMs. Further, on a system running with only a single pair of DIMMS, it does not
matter if the DIMMs are on CPU 0, 1, 2 or 3, or whether the pair has been installed in B1 D0 and B1 D1.
The only requirement is that the DIMMs are installed in pairs and that each pair must have two identical DIMMs installed.
This means that both DIMMs must be from the same manufacturing vendor and must have the same capacity.
