A Security Vulnerability in the Handling of Self Encapsulated IP Packets (see details below)
1. Impact
A Security vulnerability in Solaris, related to the handling of self
encapsulated IP packets, may allow a remote privileged user to
panic the system. The ability to panic the system is a type of Denial
of Service (DoS).
2. Contributing Factors
This issue can occur in the following releases:

4. Workaround
To work around the described issue, firewalls may be used to block self encapsulated IP packets.
