Patch Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------
1. Save the patch archive file to your disk. (On some versions of mozilla on Windows XP,
downloading of zip files results in corrupted zip files.
In such cases, you may need to download using a different browser.)
2. Unpack the archive in a temporary directory.
3. Run the IDE and click Tools-->Plugins to bring up the Plugin Manager.
4. Click the "Downloaded" Tab, and click the "Add Plugins..." button.
5. Find the temporary directory containing the unpacked NBM files.
6. Select the NBM file(s) specific to your platform and click "Open".
7. Click the "Install" button to install the updated files.
8. After the IDE restarts, copy the contents of your NetBeans IDE
backup directory to a safe place.
This backup directory contains all the files that were replaced
during installation of the updates. The backup can be found at
IDEINSTALLDIR/*sub-category*/update/backup/netbeans/ directory
or USERDIR/update/backup/netbeans/ directory, if the IDEINSTALLDIR is
not writable
*sub-category* - depends on the module cluster of the NBM installed
(e.g. java1, ide8, etc.). So be sure to copy the contents of
the backup directories for all of them when you have installed

If the backup is in the USERDIR as mentioned above, all the backup files
will be in the USERDIR/update/backup/netbeans/ directory (i.e. there will be no
*sub-category*).Special Install Instructions:

1. Because of any module dependencies, it is best to install patches
using the NetBeans Update Center.
2. The IDE will provide a list of any required dependent modules to
install if the NetBeans Update Center is connected.
3. The org-netbeans-modules-profiler-j2ee.nbm is included in this
patch to satisfy a basic patch installation dependency. It will not
be installed but its presence is required for dependency purposes.
4. The module jars (unpacked NBMs) will be installed into your
NetBeans installation directory provided this directory is
writeable, otherwise the module jars are installed in your userdir.
Uninstalling the Patch:
-----------------------
1. Uninstallation of module updates is generally not possible.
(i.e there is no automated consistent mechanism to perform uninstallation)
2. After installing the patch, if you preserved the contents of your
backup directory, as described in Step 8 of the "Patch Installation
Instructions" above, you could later manually restore these files to
where they came from in the IDE directory structure.
3. Due to possible module dependencies, the user should uninstall all
of the patched modules (i.e., do not just uninstall one of the
installed modules).
