Patch Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------
1) Save the patch archive file to your disk. (On some versions of mozilla on Windows XP, downloading of zip files
results in corrupted zip files. In such cases, you may need to download using a different browser).
2) Unpack the archive in a temporary directory.
3) Run IDE and choose "Update Center" in the main menu Tools.
4) In the dialog box choose "Install manually downloaded modules" and click the Next button.
5) Click the button Add and find the temporary directory with the unpacked NBM files.
6) Select the NBM file(s) specific to your platform and click OK.
7) Following steps are the same as when you install updates from the Update Center.
8) After the IDE restarts copy the contents of the backup directory to a safe place.
This backup directory contains all the files that were replaced during installation of the updates.
The backup can be found at IDEINSTALLDIR/update/backup/netbeans directory or USERDIR/update/backup/netbeans directory.
Special Install Instructions:
-----------------------------
1. Warning: On solaris, if the unix user who unpacked the archive is different from the unix user running
the autoupdate, then the autoupdate client may not be able to access the unpacked archive due to permission
issues. In this case, the autoupdate should be run by the same unix user who unpacked the archive or the
permission for the unpacked nbm files should be manually changed to 664. Note: This issue arises only when
installing manually downloaded files and not while accessing the autoupdate server.
Uninstalling the Patch:
------------------------------
Uninstallation of module updates is generally not possible but if the user after installing the updates backups
the contents of the directory somewhere (s)he can put these files later back to the IDE directory structure.
This backup directory contains all the files that were replaced during installation of the updates.
