Patch Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------
There are three (3) possible procedures for installing patches on Sun
Cluster. The proper method to use and any additional instructions,
for this patch are specified below in the "Special Install Instructions"
section.
Refer to the chapter entitled "Patching Sun Cluster Software and
Firmware" in the "Sun Cluster System Administration Guide" for a
description of the different install processes and instructions on how
to install Sun Cluster 3.2 patches.
Refer to the man pages for instructions on using 'patchadd' and
'patchrm' scripts provided with Solaris, to install and remove patches.
Special Install Instructions:

NOTE 1: Install this patch using either of the following patch install
procedures found in the "Patching Sun Cluster Software and Firmware"
chapter of the "Sun Cluster System Administration Guide"
* Rebooting Patch (Node)
* Rebooting Patch (Cluster and Firmware)
NOTE 2: Before installing this patch, please be sure to install the
latest patch utilities patches for your OS. This list of patches
is defined at - http://sunsolve.sun.com
Please use the pull down list which appears after the text:
"Latest Patch Update: To ensure the correct functioning of the
patching utilities on your system, stay up to date on the
following patches"
NOTE 3: If you wish to apply this patch in a rolling fashion, patch 125511
must be installed on *all* nodes of the cluster before you apply
this patch on any node.
NOTE 4: To get the complete fix for the bugs 6654698, 6626743, and 6655782
please also install the following patch:
126047-05 (or greater) HA-Oracle patch
NOTE 5: If the CORE patch revision left on the system is lower than 12,
remove the Sun Cluster smf service for service tag after removing
this patch.

NOTE 6: This patch MUST be installed when there are no pending
reconfigurations in progress.
NOTE 7: Prior to backing out this patch, the SUNW.rac_framework resource
must be downgraded and version 3 of the SUNW.rac_framework
resource type must be unregistered.
In addition, if resources of type SUNW.LogicalHostname have been
created to work with non-global zones of iptype "exclusive", they must
be downgraded and version 3 of the SUNW.LogicalHostname resource type
must be unregistered.
Please see "Sun Cluster Data Services Planning and Administration
Guide for Solaris OS" for information on how to downgrade a
resource type.
NOTE 8: This patch obsoletes the OPS Core Patch 125517-04. If Sun Cluster
Support for Oracle RAC has been added after this patch has been
installed, you will need to re-install this patch to get the updates
from the patch that apply to RAC. Note that re-installing this patch
will only update packages that had not been present when the patch
was installed. For details, see the "Re-installing Patch" section
of the man page for patchadd.
NOTE 9: Register the new version of resource types SUNW.HAStoragePlus,
SUNW.ScalDeviceGroup, and SUNW.ScalMountPoint that are being
updated in this patch. Perform resource type upgrade on any
existing resources of these types to the new versions.
In addition, to use SUNW.LogicalHostname resources with non-global
zones of ip-type "exclusive", register the new version of
SUNW.LogicalHostname resource type (version 3).
For information about registering a resource type, see Registering
a Resource Type in Sun Cluster Data Services Planning and
Administration Guide for Solaris OS.
If the Sun Cluster 3.2 core patch is removed, any resources that
were upgraded in step 9 must be downgraded to the earlier resource
type versions. The procedure for downgrading will require planned
downtime of these services. Therefore, do not perform step 9 until
you are ready to commit the Sun Cluster 3.2 core patch permanently
to your cluster.
NOTE 10: After patchrm of this patch and before the first reboot, the pnm SMF
manifest must be re-imported for the system to fully recover. Run this
command in the global zone only:
svccfg import /var/svc/manifest/system/cluster/pnm.xml
