Patch Installation Instructions:
--------------------------------
There are three (3) possible procedures for installing patches on Sun
Cluster. The proper method to use and any additional instructions,
for this patch are specified below in the "Special Install Instructions"
section.

Refer to the chapter entitled "Patching Sun Cluster Software and
Firmware" in the "Sun Cluster System Administration Guide" for a
description of the different install processes and instructions on how
to install Sun Cluster 3.2 patches.

Refer to the man pages for instructions on using 'patchadd' and
'patchrm' scripts provided with Solaris, to install and remove patches.
Special Install Instructions:
-----------------------------

NOTE 1: Before installing this patch, please be sure to install the
latest patch utilities patches for your OS. This list of patches
         is defined at - http://sunsolve.sun.com

Please use the pull down list which appears after the text:
"Latest Patch Update: To ensure the correct functioning of the
patching utilities on your system, stay up to date on the
         following patches"

NOTE 2: Patch revision -02 delivers features introduced during update 1.
Patch revision -03 delivers features introduced during update 2.

NOTE 3: Install this patch using the patch install procedure for a
"Non Rebooting Sun Cluster Patch" as described in the
"Patching Sun Cluster Software and Firmware" chapter of the
"Sun Cluster 3.2 System Administration Guide"

NOTE 4: Before applying the patch, disable the HA-PostgreSQL fault monitor.
Enable the HA-PostgreSQL fault monitor after the patch installation
         is complete.

NOTE 5: The fix for bugID 6554219 introduces a new PGHOST variable.
If you set this to the ip-alias of the logical host, you force
the probe to connect to PostgreSQL over the logical host with TCP
instead of using the Unix domain socket over localhost.

It is essential here, that the network configuration of
         PostgreSQL allow this connection.

Any false value here will cause the probe_command to fail.
