Upgrading apache20 plugin on rpm-based appserver installation on Linux:
LB can't be upgraded on patch-based installs. So On Linux and apache 2.0 webserver, if you are trying to upgrade from any earlier rpm-based ee install to 8.2Patch1 ee, then :
1. Stop webserver
2. Copy from <appserver_install_directory>/lib/webserver-plugin/linux/apache2/ to <webserver_install_directory>/modules, these files :-
mod_loadbalancer.so
LBPluginDefault_root.res
LBPlugin_root.res
RH40dependency/libares3.so
RH40dependency/libdirmon4.so
RH40dependency/libgetprop.so
RH40dependency/libicudata.so.2
RH40dependency/libicui18n.so.2
RH40dependency/libicuuc.so.2
RH40dependency/libldap50.so
RH40dependency/liblibdbm.so
RH40dependency/liblibsi18n.so
RH40dependency/libns-httpd40.so
RH40dependency/libnsfc.so
RH40dependency/libnsprwrap.so
RH40dependency/libnstime.so
RH40dependency/libnstp.so
RH40dependency/libprldap50.so
RH40dependency/libssldap50.so
RH40dependency/libsupport.so
RH40dependency/libxerces-c.so
3. One more step to add ONLY for pkg-based linux installations of Appserver, the icu libraries are put under /opt/sun/private/lib .
This directory has to be in the LD_LIBRARY_PATH in apachectl script.
4. Start the webserver and your lb is upgraded to the newer one.
