Search By Patch ID
The Patch ID field is a unique search field and the other search fields will be disabled when searching by Patch ID
General Search
With the exception of the Patch ID field, all other search fields are combined to using the AND operator to carry out the search. e.g. If you were to select Solaris 10 for the OS Release and Security Only, then you would only find patches that apply to Solaris 10 and include a security fix. Additionally selecting "OS Patches Only" will further limit the search to patches which patch the OS itself, and exclude middleware and application patches which are not part of the OS itself but apply on top of the selected OS Release.

You may click on "Show Advanced Search" to see additional search fields.
Max search results per page
You may control the number of search results that are shown on the page by selecting the "Results per page" component.
Sort search results
By default search results are ordered by the Release Date in descending order, you may change this to ascending order or sort by Patch ID or Synopsis by clicking on the appropriate header text.
Readme Files
By clicking on a Patch ID in the search results, a new page will open displaying the Readme for the patch.
Recommended Patches
An "R" symbol is displayed in the search results next to patches which are included in a Solaris OS Recommended Patch Cluster. The inclusion criteria for the Recommended Patch Clusters is defined in the relevant section of the cluster download page, http://sunsolve.sun.com/show.do?target=patch-access
Security Patches
An "S" symbol is displayed in the search results next to patches which includes a security fix.
Patch Download Size
The size of the zip patch download is expressed in binary multiple of the byte, rounded to the closest Kilobyte (KiB), Megabyte (MiB), etc. per two decimal places and expressed in the IEEE 1541-2002 standard (e.g. 1 MiB = 1024 ^ 2 = 1,048,576 Bytes).
The exact size in bytes of both the zip and signed jar patch files can be found by placing the mouse over their links.
